Our client tripped on the side walk in front of his mother house that had been neglected by the city for over 2 decades. Our client had two shoulder surgeries and injuries to his face from the fall. The city argued that our client was not paying attention and that he knew the sidewalk was dangerous outside his mother’s home. We were able to prove that the city had notice of the dangerous condition and it was ultimately their responsibility to keep it safe for pedestrians.
